“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord” (Habakkuk 2:14).
God is ever working toward this purpose.
He wants us to see His glory in the world around us, in the flowers of the field, the birds of the air, the majesty of the sunrise. He wants us to know that it is His Spirit that gives life to all living things. There is no birth without His blessing, no growth without His sustaining, no joy without His arranging. Unless we acknowledge the presence of God in every situation, in every moment, in every life, God’s glory remains unfilled.
We must recognize that:
“All we do can have no worth, Unless God bless the deed;
Vainly we hope for harvest time, Till God gives life to the seed” (Ainger, 1894).
But, someday, the glory of God will fill all the earth and everyone will know.
What a wonderful day that will be!
