The Russian Bear
Another beast, a second one, resembling a bear was raised up on one side with three ribs in its mouth between its teeth, and they said to it, “Rise up and devour much meat” (Daniel 7:5).
The Russian bear has risen up and is devouring Ukraine.
The bear overran and annexed Georgia in 2008. Then it devoured the Crimea and eastern Ukraine in 2014. Russia intervened in Syria in 2017, and now it has bullied Belarus into puppet-state status as a military staging base. Finally, and tragically, the Russian bear just invaded the rest of Ukraine two days ago. Up next for Russia will be the Baltic states, Romania, Poland, or maybe even Turkey.
Why look for other prophetic bears when the worst one is eating right before your eyes?
Prophetic events are heating up quickly. The four winds of heaven are blowing across the world. Never in my lifetime was there a global pandemic and also a major land war in Europe with blatant aggression and unnecessary violence. Natural disasters, political unrest, hatred and persecution are all increasing. These are signs of the end of the age. We can ignore them or acknowledge them, but these are the facts.
Things are getting worse, just the way Jesus said they would.
By His grace the gospel is going out too.
But for many, it is already too late.
