Knowing Makes The Difference

“A double minded man is unstable in all his ways” (James 1:8).

Don’t give up what you know because of what you don’t know.

There are so many things that we don’t know in life. We don’t know why tragedy struck so suddenly and so hard. We don’t know why our plans failed to succeed. We don’t know why we were treated so unfairly and so harshly. These kinds of questions get in the way of our thinking positively about all the things we already know to be true about our lives.

We know the love of our Savior Jesus, the Lord of all creation.

We know that He will never leave us nor forsake us. We know that where He is, that is where He wants us to be also. We know that He has forgiven us for all our sins, and that there is nothing that brings Him greater pleasure than to see His children walking in His footsteps. We know that He is present within us because of the Holy Spirit, and we know that all His plans are the right ones for us no matter how it feels at the moment.

We know that He is sovereign and that He is good.

Such knowledge makes everything else inconsequential.
