God or the World. Your Choice.

“How long will you hesitate between two opinions?” (1 Kings 18:21).

You can’t have things both ways.

God isn’t in partnership with the world. He doesn’t have fellowship with darkness. He won’t make compromises in order to tolerate wrong thinking. We don’t get to pick and choose which parts about God that we like the most. There is a great attraction in the goodness of God, but there is also a carnal attraction for the life this world offers.

But, there can be no in-between for the believer.

God’s righteous way of living for the Christian does not allow for prideful ambition, self enrichment, or power and control. There is no merging of falsehood with truth. Rather, the Christian serves God whole-heartedly, sharing the message of His love with all who will hear it. The Christian serves God by meeting the needs of the poor and vulnerable. The Christian is in the world, but not of it.

This kind of living requires a decision.

The choice is yours.
