Bible Prophecy is Good for You
--
“Looking for the blessed hope” (Titus 2:13).
The study of Bible prophecy should be every Christian’s concern.
Here’s why:
1. It demonstrates that Scripture is supernatural and trustworthy (Deuteronomy 18:22).
2. It is a motivator for Bible study (1 Peter 1:10–12).
3. It brings comfort in difficult times (1 Thessalonians 4:13–18).
4. It expands our view of God (Isaiah 55:8–11).
5. It builds a basis for prayer (Daniel 9:2–3).
6. It gives purpose and courage (1 Corinthians 15:51).
7. It brings a blessing (Revelation 1:3).
8. It demonstrates that God is sovereign over the events of history (Daniel 4:25).
9. It gives us hope and purifies us (1 John 3:2–3).
10. It leads to holy living (1 Thessalonians 3:13; 1 John 3:3).
11. It helps us to endure persecution (Matthew 5:11; 1 Peter 4:16f).
12. It is a warning to the unsaved (2 Thessalonians 2:7–10).
